Race Season Essentials

With Maryland steeplechase season well on it's way, we thought we'd bring you our thoughts on some of the essentials for a great day at the races...First, and most importantly in eBr's opinion, are mimosas. The light and refreshing taste is the perfect way to kick start a warm Spring morning! And of course you can't forget snacks!

Next, it is always important to make sure you have the appropriate footwear. There is nothing worse than showing up to races in Jack Rogers only to find the field to be a muddy mess!

Along the same line it is extremely important, especially on rainy days, to make sure the car you’re attending in is able to handle the mud! Nobody looks cute after pushing a car out of the mud!
During those early races it is also especially important to make sure you have the right outerwear. We are especially fond of Barbour jackets, but as long as you have something to keep you dry and warm you should be fine!

Sunglasses are a must on the bright sunny days, but look out for glasses tan!

Finally and most importantly great company is what you really need to have an amazing day at the races! So grab your best friends and we’ll see you out there!

So when you and you're best friend have moved to different cities, are working crazy usually conflicting hours, and you both love to procrastinate from doing real work, why wouldn't you start writing a blog together? That's what has happened here. We found we weren't keeping in touch as much as we wanted when cCe wasn't making weekly trips back to Bmore for weekends, and realized our idea to write a blog would actually help us with this. So the blog has a two fold purpose, for us to relive the fun things we've done that week but also to keep ourselves informed of what is going on in each others lives. A lot of our posts will be done together because we are together most of the time, but on the occasions we do separate the posts will be about what each of us has done that week. We're basically writing two blogs in one because while we think we are totally awesome we're not convinced we'd have enough to write about separately without being redundant. So we hope you enjoy what we write and are inspired to go out and make your own fun!
