Rainy Monday

On a rainy Monday morning like this one, no one wants to get out of bed.  Wouldn't it be so much nicer to curl up in bed with a cup of tea and a good book?  And if we're really wishing for something maybe there would be a guy a la Neal Caffrey of White Collar in that bed with us....

Since the guy might be a bit harder to come by I, eBr, thought I'd share some of the books I'm currently wishing I could curl up with.

Because I feel I need to read the book again before I see the movie

I feel I missed out in high school never reading this and basically want to know what it is about!

I've been dreaming of Ireland recently, and this book paired with the rain might make me think I'm really there.

Not ashamed to admit this book, and really the whole series is my guilty pleasure book of choice.

On a day like today I completely condone taking a mental health day, staying in bed, and just reading the day away.

What books would you curl up with on a rainy day?

Joules

Around this time last year I, eBr, had just finished spending a month in England with my mother.  While over there, we were introduced to Joules.  I have a fear I'll one day find out they are the British version of Hollister or Abercrombie and Fitch but for now, I'm hooked
Longing for last summer's trip I made my way to the Joules website this morning....big mistake....
Here are some of my favorites:

Brolly Umbrella

Furley Silk Scarf

Georgina Dress

Nigella Top

Kingston Shirt

Moredale Quilted Jacket

My favorite part about the Joules clothes are the pops of color and whimsical details  included in almost every piece.  I have a feeling today might be an expensive day!

Fourth Fashion

Surrounding the fourth of July I, eBr, saw some pretty interesting as well as some pretty awesome American fashion.  Not having many America/Flag inspired outfits I was inspired by these people and thought I'd share some of my favorites...

More of an accessory than an outfit but anytime there is a matching koozie to a shirt I am excited!

Saw so many guys wearing this!  Very funny and cute

This Urban Outfitter's BDG American Flag Chambray Button Down is perfect for the girls.  While I'm not a huge fan of denim, I would be all for this on the 4th!

As I stated above, other than jeans, denim and I aren't huge fans of each other.  So I picked these American Flag Sweater Shorts

For the boys, I love American Flag shorts.  I don't know what it is I think they are just too cute!

And if it's a chillier 4th these pants are the best!

Hope you all had a great Fourth of July!  Time to start planning the outfits for next year!

Break out your red, white and blue!  It's the Fourth of July!  It's a time for grilling, drinking, and lounging poolside.  So break out your favorite drink, grab some friends, find some water and wait for the fireworks!

Whatever your plans have a happy 4th of July!!

A WAC Wedding - The Party

After a quick ceremony we all escaped the heat and moved inside to welcome the new Mr. and Mrs. Lindner!  In his first officially duty as husband Mr. Lindner caught his beautiful bride as she almost slipped down the flight of marble stairs!

A first dance to Dancing in the Moonlight was perfect for this light on their feet couple.

Hayner's mother is an amazing baker, and made the couple this absolutely gorgeous (and delicious!) wedding cake.

eBr and Hayner, what a beautiful bride!

It was a great night dancing with the bride and groom!

Mr. and Mrs. Lindner

Congratulations to the happy couple!  We wish you a life full of love and happiness!

A WAC Wedding - The Ceremony

We returned to the scene of the crime, so to speak, to celebrate Hainer's wedding at Washington College in Chestertown, MD.  Both the bride and groom and majority of the wedding party and wedding guests we're Washington College alumni.  The setting for the ceremony, Martha Washington Square, was perfect for the intimate outdoor gathering.

The groomsmen looked perfectly preppy in khakis, seersucker bow ties, and navy blazers.

The bridesmaids kept with the navy theme in gorgeous short J Crew dresses accessorized with pearl necklaces and Kate Spade jewelry, a gift from the bride.

The bride and her father we're absolutely stunning as they walked down the aisle.  I can't lie I definitely started to tear up, I'm a sucker for weddings.

After exchanging vows the couple had their first kiss!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Lindner!
