Truckeroo

One of my favorite Friday summer night activities in DC is Truckeroo.  It is an event where approximately 25 food trucks come out to The Bullpen. The Bullpen is a new area outside of Nationals Stadium that has a stage for concerts, multiple bars, and cornhole. There are different events held there almost every weekend in addition to being open before every home game. Go Nats!

My first stop is always the bar but after that I immediately head to The Big Cheese.

The truck that always has the longest lines has got to be the Maine Lobster Roll truck.  A good strategy when attending Truckeroo is to get food at one truck then eat that while waiting in line at the next. I suggest always taking a friend so that you can try as many things as possible.

When you need a break from eating, there are two places to head. The first being the cornhole area. While I still have never played when we have been (it's usually packed), I always go over an watch.

My other favorite part of Truckeroo, other than the food, are the bands. From rock to country, top 20 to bluegrass, they have it all. Bands vary throughout the night to appeal to all sorts of audiences.

This man was loving the music and even felt the need to dance with his dog.

Next time you are in DC I definitely suggest you try out an event at The Bullpen. I live right around the corner and would love to meet you there.

Love, cCe
